We stock a huge range of both wired and wireless microphones. We do not charge individually for wired mics – we believe that the right microphone is required to do the job correctly, and your engineer will do everything in his power to make your show sound great – even if that involves raiding the AMP Sound Systems mic room!!!
In fact, we have so many makes, models and types that it would be unrealistic to list them all here. However, some of our most common mics are listed below:
The legendary Shure SM58 vocal microphone is designed for professional vocal use in live performance, sound reinforcement, and studio recording. Its tailored vocal response for sound is a world standard for singing or speech. A highly effective, built-in spherical filter minimizes wind and breath “pop” noise. A unidirectional (cardioid) pickup pattern isolates the main sound source while minimizing unwanted background noise.
Rugged construction, a proven shock-mount system, and a steel mesh grille ensure that even with rough handling, the SM58 will perform consistently, outdoors or indoors.
The legendary Shure SM57 is exceptional for musical instrument pickup and vocals. With its bright, clean sound and contoured frequency response, the SM57 is ideal for live sound reinforcement and recording.
The SM57 has an extremely effective cardioid pickup pattern that isolates the main sound source while minimizing background noise.
Outstanding performance, reliability, and application diversity make this “workhorse” the choice of performers, producers, and sound engineers worldwide.
The Shure Beta 87A is a premium quality supercardioid hand-held electret condenser vocal microphone with exceptionally smooth frequency response and high sound pressure level capability. Used for professional sound reinforcement, broadcasting, and studio recording applications, the Beta 87A combines superb performance with the ruggedness needed for touring and field production.
Along with our huge range of wired mics, we also have a large amount of radio microphones. Our mics and transmitters are loved by casts of theatre shows and all forms of musical theatre.
We frequently use both Sennheiser and Shure transmitters and receivers. Again, we have a wide range of microphones for these devices, including the Sennheiser MKE2 lapels, and our favourite DPA 4066 headsets.
