The 2010 All Ireland Senior Ladies Champions returned to Na Fianna on Friday night to be greeted by over 1,000 people and a sound system supplied by AMP Sound Systems. An amazing evening was presented by Na Fianna GAA Club to welcome the girls home. The Dublin team arrived in an open top bus to [...]

Cheap & Cheerful VS Big Brand!

Will that Midas desk really make your band sound better? Surely that Klark Teknik graphic cant make a whole lot of difference? Pay €100,000 for a PA or €10,000? All the above questions are questions that I have asked myself before – other than the band bit, so in my case my client’s band. I [...]

Summer festivals end with some sun!

Sunday the 12th of September meant an early start for the AMP Sound Systems crew! Just off from a late night at Darver Festival, we were in Phibsborough in Dublin for Phizzfest. AMP Sound Systems was subhired by The Sound & Music Co. to provide sound equipment and staff to the event. The gig consisted of [...]

AMP Sound Systems provides the bass for Sailfest!

The stage outside Wicklow Gaol rocked the town with the help of 4 subs from AMP Sound Systems. Luan Parle played a beautiful set as expected. Was thoroughly proud that our equipment shared a stage with Luan once again. An array of D&B Q1′s from Acoustik completed the rig. The sun kept shining and made [...]

Primary school show beats Broadway counterparts!

I had the amazing pleasure of doing the sound for St. Brigid’s School’s production of Mary Poppins and Aladdin! It ran for 2 nights in the Greystones Theatre. Usually these kids’ show are very samey, but this one blew me away!

Now thats my kinda gig!

You may have noticed from the blog posts so far that I generally get more excited about the “different” gigs! This one was certainly different! It was only a school’s graduation mass. But it was in an Olympic sizes basketball court, and there was a choir and a small band to work around! The place came also [...]
